4-year-old Preschool

Age Requirement:

• Children entering our four-year-old program shall be four (4) years of age on or before August 15th of the school year they wish to attend.

Ratios:

• Each of our classrooms have twenty children.  Every classroom has a lead teacher, a morning assistant teacher, and an afternoon assistant teacher.  A third assistant teacher is also present in the mornings to help with table time. 

Classroom Set-up:

• Each classroom is set up with the following centers to allow for independent exploration
  and play:

• Each classroom also has its own private bathroom with child-size toilets.

Daily Schedule:

• We open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding specified holiday and teacher in-service days. For a list of CLC Closings, click here.
• Daily activities for our four-year-old's allow for both structured and independent learning experiences.  
• Children attend enrichment classes such as Art, Spanish, Music, and Library.  
• Children have unstructured playtime daily where they utilize either our indoor or outdoor playground.
• Daily small group time allows structured learning time with a teacher to practice weekly curriculum skills. 
• We provide a morning snack and an afternoon snack with water for your child every day. However, parents are to provide ready-to-eat lunch each day for their child.

Toilet Training:

• All of our four-year-olds are fully potty trained.
