Covid19 Procedures

Due to COVID-19, we wanted to let you know about our plans to ensure that your child(ren) are safe while in our care. It is important that all of us work together to mitigate and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our center and in our community. The following are some policies we have implemented based on guidance from the CDC and the Department of Education, and will continue to enforce as we progress into the school year:

  1. All staff and children will be screened upon arrival. Temperature will be checked and parents will answer concerning symptoms.

  2. We are currently following the Shelby County Health Department's mask mandate for everyone. When this changes, masks are not required in the center for anyone who is fully vaccinated. Those who have not received the full vaccination are required to masks when indoors.

  3. No parents/caregivers will be allowed inside the building. Parents/caregivers of preschool children will drop off and pick up their children at their child's classroom's outside door. Parents/caregivers of schoolage children will walk their children to the front door in the morning to be checked in and will pick up from the same door. Staff members will ensure they get to and from their appropriate classrooms.

  4. We will continue our cleaning procedures that we have always done, which are in line with what the CDC and DOE recommend. This includes proper hand washing practices, and the frequent cleaning and disinfecting of our classrooms and our preschool playground equipment. There will also be hand sanitizer available at all times.

  5. It is not possible to always socially distance while on our busses or on campus, however we will do our best to socially distance when feasible. Children will still wear face masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the center.

  6. We will utilize outdoor play time for fresh air as much as the weather permits.

As you know, these are challenging times for everyone, and information is changing and evolving what seems like daily. We will continue to follow CDC and DOE recommendations as they are updated. We will be sure to communicate with you when changes are made. Please join us in praying for our center, the families we serve, our community, our country, and our world as we navigate this global pandemic.
